What We Can and Cannot Do

We provide short-term accommodation, practical assistance and connection to services across North and Far Queensland.

We do not provide immediate emergency accommodation on demand without assessment. TBC

This includes housing support, tenancy assistance, youth support, food relief, community outreach and diversionary support services. Availability and eligibility apply.

Long-term housing is not directly provided by Anglicare NQ; we support pathways and referrals into housing systems.

How Anglicare NQ works with you

We aim to provide support that is:
✔ Practical — help with food, clothing and essential needs
✔ Connected — linking you to housing, legal, health and community services.
✔ Person-centred — tailored around your needs, not one-size-fits-all

We work collaboratively with other agencies to ensure you can access the right support at the right time, including referral pathways when we do not directly provide a specific service, helping you achieve longer-term positive outcomes.
